I'm happy to share with you all that Hurricane Julio will not be visiting the islands!
I've been closely watching the National Weather Service, this is from their most recent update...
"THERE ARE NO COASTAL WATCHES OR WARNINGS IN EFFECT."
"Julio is moving toward the northwest near 16 mph, 26 km/h, and this motion is expected to for the next 48 hours with a slight decrease in forward speed. On this track, Julio will pass about 250 miles northeast of Maui on Sunday."
Still expect some heavy rain and wind if you're on island....but, so stoked... no Hurricane!
My good friend on the Hilo side of Big Island is still out of power. There are many downed trees in her neighborhood. Thankfully her home sustained minimal damage and her family is safe. They expect to be out of power for a few days. Please send positive thoughts and prayers to Big Island.
Aloha friends.
