This stretch of sand is part Waipouli beach. One of our favorites and it couldn't be closer!
A sea turtle hung out with us for several hours this afternoon. He was so cute and curious! He'd poke his head up to look at us, then dive down for good eats below the surface! He was a little guy...maybe an 18 inch shell. We hope to see him again!
Each day we packed a picnic lunch. On this day we had fresh pineapple and prime rib sandwiches! Left over from our tasty dinner the night before at the Bull Shed restaurant. It was so good!

Here's us on our anniversary! This was our first real honeymoon. We had such an incredible time on Kauai! Though our trip was short, I would encourage others not to be afraid of a short trip. Each day was relaxed and perfectly filled. We felt like we had a week long vacation! I think a big part of us feeling this way is that we did not rent a car. No rushing around. No need to go here or there. Just us.
